(This post is a followup to CloudAI).
So I mentioned that Amy and I really liked "Thank You Satan!" from the CloudAI album. I decided to feed the lyrics (with minor changes) back into the model, and ask for cover versions of the songs in different genres and styles.
I'm not sure I like any of these quite as much as the original, but they each bring something a little new to the track. (Except track 9, which IS the original, include for completeness)
Quick breakdown:
Track 1: A spiritual hymn seemed fitting.
Track 2: I was originally going for a bubblegum pop song here, but it missed the mark. I still like this one, though.
Track 3: This is an EDM pop song (like the original). I did a large number of these when I generated the original, trying to improve upon it. I never got anything better, but the couple that were pretty good are here, and this is one.
Track 4: This has a bit of 90s techno influence, and is one of the only versions of this song to honor the [Guitar Solo] and [Fiddle Solo] tags, instead of reading them out loud.
Track 5: I asked for a song in the style of The Supremes. It did okay.
Track 6: Amy told me this sounded like Gloria Estefan, and I can't unhear it.
Track 7: I like this one because of the totally divergent way it handles to chorus compared to all of the other versions of this song.
Track 8: Along with track 3, this is the other from the original batch that I kept.
Track 9: This is the track as it appeared in CloudAI.
Track 10: Believe it or not, I used Screeching Weasel as a seed for the music on this one. It has that poppy feel, but I think it sounds more like late 70s / early 80s brit punk with a splash of pop mixed in.
Okay, that is more than enough AI Music for one post.
